To mark ATX Television Festival's 5th and final time hosting our Panthers & Lions AND 10 years since Friday Night Lights premiered, we’re going big, and going home. Join us for the ultimate Dillon, TX experience, featuring live music, tailgate activities, Texas eats (maybe some tacos, BBQ, and really anything with queso), surprise special guests, and – of course – a screening of a fan-favorite episode on the field where it all took place.
The Friday Night Lights Tailgate & Pep Rally Blowout is free and open to both ATX attendees and non-attendees (general public/community members), however ATX Badgeholders have access to a few special Badge-Only perks.
If you’re an ATX Badgeholder, you’ll have access to Magic Hour (5 pm – 6 pm) on Panther Field. That means you’ll be able to get on to the field one (1) hour prior to the general public on Friday evening. You'll also have exclusive access to tour the still-preserved Panther Field House. And yes – it still has Panther murals, blue lockers, and even a special “P” signed by J. Street himself!
We'd never let y'all go hungry!
Check out all the awesome food that will be available at the #FNLTailgate and start planning
what you'll be eating!
We won't be allowing any outside food and drink, since we have such great options on the field, however you can absolutely bring in your own water bottles to keep yourself hydrated.
Boomerang's was born when Jack Fennell bit into his first Aussie pie while living in Sydney. Jack decided to bring a taste of Australia back to America and opened Boomerang's Pies in 2006.
Lance McInnes discovered this Australian delicacy while in Queensland. Back in the States, Lance found Boomerang's. Jack and Lance quickly recognized a shared vision and partnered to offer Boomerang's pies throughout America. From the beginning, Boomerang's focus has not only been on convenience, but quality. With all-natural ingredients, they make real Aussie-inspired food.

Ruby and The Reckless is the brainchild of Ruby Jane, Austin Simmons, Miggy Milla, Chris Copeland and Sam Powell, based out of Austin, Texas. Their unique style has been called "a psych-jamming, darkly optimistic, alt-hooky, fiddlin' mind f**k." They recently received the prestigious Black Fret grant in late 2015, and have been working on their 2016 debut EP with Chris John "Frenchie" Smith out of the Bubble studio in Austin. With Ruby Jane's history of touring as lead violinist with national heavy hitters (Willie Nelson, Lady Gaga, Blues Traveler, Local Natives to name a few) and the indie/pop/rock influence of the band, they are creating a new sound that breaches the limits of musicianship in modern day pop music.
To attempt to put Calliope Musicals in a specific category would yield a variety of labels; a psychedelic folk band, an experimental art collective, or even a high energy, circus-esque performance group. In actuality, Calliope Musicals is all of those things. Hailing from Austin, Texas, Calliope Musicals is widely known as a band of charismatic, vibrant musicians who capture the eclectic vibe that permeates through the Live Music mecca they call home. Their intrinsic authenticity and talk-of-the-town stage show has already provided them with musical accolades including write-ups in Billboard and Paste Magazine. Their single "Party Master & the Space Brigade" was featured on NPR Music’s “Songs We Love” and The Austin Chronicle revered them as "Technicolor folkies [who] concoct eclectic dance-rock jubilee for the barefoot crowd."
